Ranbir rejected by director Imtiaz

Director Imtiaz Ali may have made a Rockstar out of Ranbir, but he isn't letting friendship come in the way of his creative vision! zoOm found out that Imtiaz, though very fond of Ranbir, has rejected his request of being a part of Highway.

Sources revealed to zoOm that the star was privy to imtiaz ali's next 'Highway' and was unable to curtail his excitement. That's not all! The star also requested for a role to be specially scripted for him in the movie even if it was a cameo or a guest appearance. The heartthrob had no qualms even if the role was extremely minor as long as he was a part of the film. So what made the filmmaker refuse the star who he believes is his biggest motivation?

Given that guest appearances is the new trend in tinsel town and every flick big or small banks on it, Imtiaz seems to be determined to keep business away from pleasure. Does the visionary feel including Ranbir will overshadow the lead pair- Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda or does he feel the curiosity behind Ranbir's love life will steal the media focus during promotions?
